Creamy oat porridge gets a Mediterranean twist with nutty Med Cuisine Natural Tahini and the deep caramel sweetness of Organic Silan Date Syrup. Finished with fresh berries and chopped pistachios, it is a warm, satisfying breakfast with colour, crunch and lasting richness.
The Recipe
Ingredients
250ml oat milk, plus more as needed
50g porridge oats
3 tbsp Med Cuisine Natural Tahini
Small pinch of salt
To Finish
Fresh raspberries
Fresh blueberries
Chopped pistachios
Method
Start the porridge. Add the oat milk and porridge oats to a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer over a medium-low heat, stirring as the mixture warms.
Cook. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently and scraping the base of the pan, until the oats are tender and the porridge is creamy.
Enrich. Remove the pan from the heat, then stir in the Natural Tahini, Organic Silan Date Syrup and salt until smooth. Add a splash of extra oat milk if the porridge is thicker than you like.
Finish. Spoon into a warm bowl and top with raspberries, blueberries and chopped pistachios. Serve straight away while creamy.
🌿 Med Cuisine Tip: Stir the tahini and Organic Silan Date Syrup in after the porridge comes off the heat. This keeps the tahini silky and lets you judge the final consistency, as the oats will continue to thicken while they stand.
Natural Tahini gives the oats their smooth, roasted nuttiness, while Organic Silan Date Syrup adds rich date sweetness without overpowering the fresh fruit.
